So one of the largest non-nuclear bombs was recently dropped on the eastern region of Afghanistan on an ISIS tunnel complex.

The bomb is known as the MOAB and is the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the world.

According to U.S. officials, this is the first time this weapon has been used in battle and has the ability to destroy tunnels and bunkers. How many civilians were killed is unclear.

Even if this was a great opportunity to intimidate ISIS, was it ethical for U.S. military forces to drop a bomb in an area where many innocent civilians would be killed? If not, should we consider the number of soldiers who could have been killed if they went into the tunnels themselves?

Is it possible for there to be war and not have innocent civilians killed in the process at all? I certainly have never heard of any but if so, be sure to let me know. Maybe this is just the nature of war and it’s impossible to insure the safety of the innocent.
